Admiral Room set up

Erin and Garret met fresh out of college at their first jobs.

Tell us about your proposal story?
Garret proposed in New York City, where we currently live together. He proposed right by the Brooklyn Bridge with the Manhattan skyline in the background. He also had both of our families fly in to celebrate with us!
It was a complete surprise!! I didn’t even know he had gone ring shopping yet, but he had been hiding the ring in his sock drawer for months while he coordinated a weekend for our families included.

The room speaks for itself! We fell in love with the architecture and aesthetic of everything, and felt that it would allow us to host a really beautiful wedding without needing to do too much. We also loved that there are so many things done in-house (food, bar, decor, coordination, bridal suite), which we knew would help simplify some of the logistics.

Is there a story behind your first dance or parent dance songs?
We took dance lessons together and learned a choreographed first dance! It was a super unique experience for us (we are both not used to being the center of attention), but ended up being one of our favorite things we did! We had so much fun not only during our official first dance, but also practicing leading up to it.

What was the most exciting part of your day?
One of our favorite moments of the day was walking into the Admiral Room for the first time before our guests arrived for cocktail hour. Seeing all of the details come together even better than we expected was such an amazing feeling! We have also loved hearing about all the different details our guests noticed throughout the day.

Any suggestions, concerns or comments you’d like to share?
We can’t thank the Admiral Room team enough! It was truly the most perfect day, and their expertise allowed us to just relax and be present the entire day. The team truly goes above and beyond, and anyone getting married here is in great hands!
